Finishing a project can leave you feeling on top of the world, especially if the project has been on your "to do" list for a long time. Set a goal of finishing at least one project before starting a new one.
When knitting socks, sleeves for a sweater, or other items in pairs, knit them both at the same time. Work the ribbing on one sock, then the other; turn the heel on one sock, then the other, etc. That way you'll have a better chance of having an truly matching pair than if you complete one at a time.

When purchasing yarn for a project, whether it be knitting, crochet, weaving, etc. make sure all the yarn of the same color is from the same dyelot. Dyelots may look the same in the skein but it is guaranteed the difference will show up in your finished project.
